Louise Kaufman

Louise Kaufman, also known as Lou, formally of Monroe Township, New Jersey was born with a paint brush in her hand. As the daughter of an Artist, she was surrounded by paint and canvas all her life. Louise studied art education and business in college, married young, started a family and then entered the art world with a successful professional wholesale, retail artwear business before moving on to another career.

Art is her first love and after retiring, she returned to that love by studying watercolor and pastels. Louise is primarily a portrait artist who enjoys capturing human expression by combining realism with a loose and free twist. She is a member of the Art Group in On Top of the World and The Visual Artists’ Society affiliated with the College of Central Florida.
