"Pieces of Dreams"

     I am a retired teacher/administrator from Norfolk, Va. I moved to OTOW in July 2019 from Atlanta, Ga. My love for the creative process goes back to my childhood when it seemed I was always drawing or creating something. 

     Over the years I have worked in various media including: painting, sculpture, pen & ink, mixed media, stained glass, and pencil. My work has been displayed in local art shows, small galleries and a coffee shop. 

     My creative journey has now brought me to my most recent interest - pencil drawings. Although I have had no formal art training, I enjoy the challenge of trying something new, and pencil drawing has opened a whole new world of discovery. 

     I love how you can manipulate pencil leads from very light to very dark.  The challenge of shading, texturing, and detail are most satisfying.  My subject matter ranges from the quiet beauty of nature to the deep emotions of old human faces. 

     My prints are high quality digital copies of the originals. They are printed on 100 Ib. poster stock and come matted & backed (ready to frame). I have sized the prints at 16" X 20" for easy standard frames.
